Dear Patrons,
Blackwood Recreation Centre will close at midnight on Monday 19th July 2021 and remain shut until further notice. At this stage, the Government is to review restrictions on Friday 23rd July and we will communicate with you again at that time.
The closure is a government requirement and is part of measures to combat the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). The decision was made on Monday 19th July 2021 at 4:00 pm by the state government. These new rules apply to all indoor Sport, Recreation and Fitness centres in South Australia.
The health and wellbeing of our members and staff is always our top priority. Although we will not be open to the public for the rest of the week we’ll be using our Facebook and Instagram pages to stay connected. We understand this is a worrying time and many of you will be concerned and disappointed. But please try to view this as an important and positive step to help us stop the spread of COVID-19.
You are a valued member of our community and this temporary closure has not changed that. Please follow our Facebook page and Instagram page to stay connected with us, receive updates.
For the latest information about the coronavirus, please visit the Department of Health or SA Health’s COVID-19 webpages.
If you are feeling anxious or isolated as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, please visit SA Health’s website for advice about mental health.
We will continue to keep you updated about the Centre during this closure.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Kind regards
